Week 24: I Don't Wanna Grow Up!

When I was a wee little kid, my favorite toy was rocks and I would throw them at my siblings and that is why I have such a good softball arm. I'm just kidding! But something I did play with a lot was little farm toys, like tractors and that fun stuff. I have a lot of brothers and if I wanted to play with them this was my only option. It was crazy how you could plant corn and harvest it and bale hay all within like 5 minutes. Then start all over again and have a farm auction. Man those were the good days. Then we would go outside and play like 4 on 4 kickball and baseball and then ride bikes. We got along like peanut butter and jelly.
A blog about my childhood is kind of hard to somehow mention Fahs but I know I would get so much crap if I didn't. So I guess the best way to do that is talk about my favorite childhood game of all time. Euchre. (Not a typical game for kids to play but it was for our family) I learned to play at like age 5 because all of my older siblings knew. We would sit in the house and have like 2 games going at one time. I learned how to play before Fahs ever did so he can never say that he is more experienced than me because that's not true. I'm the number one player with all of that experience. But he is still #1 euchre partner so he is very, very close second.

Week 23: Take Me Down to Paradise City!

Paradise is literally just country music. I would be perfectly fine with a nice cozy room and some unending country music. I would also want this room to be filled with some snacky type foods. Like maybe some chips, crackers, Dip'n Good Dips, popcorn, beef jerky, sandwiches, pizza, tacos, twizzlers, candy bars, nachos, and of course the best peanut butter blossoms of all... made by my mother. I would probably invite my #1 euchre partner so that we could kick butt for hours upon hours in some crazy euchre games and he could realize how delicious my cookies are. So that means I would have to invite Jake and Rylan so they could lose some more.  Then once they are sick of losing, we could probably stop playing and switch to something else that is pretty great. FRIENDS!!! This paradise would have all ten seasons so we could watch them continuously. Then there is nobody better to talk about this wonderful show with than Fahs. We have pretty much talked about it for like 5 hours (George) straight before. This is a perfect paradise!

P.S. Fahs, I know that George Strait spells his last name like this so you can't make fun of me for that up there. It was a joke!!!

Week 22: You’re So Kind

Well you see, I am a very kind person in general. But there is one specific person that I am incredibly nice to but I never seem to get that in return. It would be the one and only Fahs. I tell him all the time how wonderful of a euchre partner he is. But he never says anything like that in return. Fahs tells me that he carries the team and would be better off without me. Then there is all that country music that we listen to. I have never listened to other music because it has been country from day one. I can sing like every song from 90s country and I was hardly born in the 90s, so that is pretty impressive. But Fahs on the other hand, has listened to other music (because he isn't totally dedicated) and can sing as much 90s country as I can and he lived all the 90s so that actually makes sense that he should know it. I tell him that I am impressed with all the new music he keeps up on because I am full of nice compliments. But what do I get in return? "Garber, you suck at listening to country music, are you even dedicated?" I get those rude words. I take time out of my busy life to be a kind person and do the basketball book for him. I get up in the middle of eating my chili at the chili supper just to be the savior of the night and I hardly even got a thank you from him. I get told that I MIGHT be like #8 on the list of best book people. He doubts my Friends knowledge even though I might know more about it than him. The kindest thing I have ever done was open his gas thing to prevent it from freezing. I do nothing but nice and he is just so mean.
I sat at home this weekend and watched hours and hours of Friends instead of going to a game to do book, where I would be underappreciated.

Week 21: And They Lived Happily Ever After

I don't watch too much TV, but Friends is by far the best show ever. Fahs can definitely side with me on that last statement because cool people watch Friends and quote it all the time and have like hour long conversations about it. It is a group of six friends and everyone has pretty much dated everyone else. Nothing was ever too serious but then a couple of relationships got really serious. One that I was rooting for was Monica and Chandler. When they started dating it was a big secret and none of the other friends knew about it. "They don't we know they know we know." That episode just kills me every time. Then there is Ross and Rachel which is such a joke because who knows if they are together or not because it is so on and off, and he is her lobster, she got off the plane, and blah blah.
