Week 31-32: Hudson Honors

Most Interesting Part: The conversations that come up during midweeks were so off the wall that I found them so interesting. Like I never knew what to expect when we were just trying to learn grammar. And the argument about time was pretty interesting because it didn't even matter but it went on for like an hour.
Least Favorite Part: Just the subject itself is the worst. I didn't hate the teacher or the class or anything, I just don't enjoy to read and it doesn't necessarily come easy to me.
Thing I Learned or Improved Upon the Most: I have learned a lot of grammar and I think that will really benefit me in the future even that it was stressful some days.
Favorite Memory: Obviously everyday of learning is just great memories.
Best Thing About Hudson as a Teacher: Hudson definitely makes learning interesting and always has so much excitement so it helps to pay attention. I like that we can get off topic and she will just talk to us about it for a while. One thing she does that kind of sucks for the students but is overall really good is that she has a plan and sticks to it. She values our education and teaches as much as she can in little time.
Thing Hudson Could Improve for Future Classes: Not a whole lot. Maybe we could just quit reading! Just kidding!   Any Final Comments for Hudson: HUDSON! I don't actually hate you like you think I do! Thanks for all the help over the years and being a good teacher!!

Week 30: Senior Wills

I still remember when Patrick was a senior and he had to write this blog he was such a sweet brother and willed me something. He willed me the parking spot by the pole on the west side of the lot so I would always have a place to park. And I have taken good care of it ever since that until about a week ago when Jake decided he wanted to be a butt. But I wish I had a younger sibling to pass it down to because it has been part of the family for about 12 yeas now. That parking spot should just be retired. Although Taylor Laible is already a beast at volleyball, I will her all of my ability and the spot as captain. I know that Taylor will take good care of everything and  handle it all with ease so I will everything to her.

Week 29: Words From The Wise!

Well no matter what they do there is no way that their class will ever be as cool as ours and I don't want to give them any help on how to be that cool. One thing is for sure though, they have to win the class games or they will get made fun of and since we are gone they might actually have a chance next year. Beware of Fahs though, he will talk so much crap about beating you and then you just have to show him who is really in charge. Tackle a few people and then move on with the big WIN and then he won't have any crap to talk.

Week 28: Weirdest Compliment

As I am sitting here in the computer lab in silence, Rylan looks over at me and says, "Hey Jessica, you have very nice ankles." I didn't even know the blog prompt for the week so I thought that was a very strange compliment. But once I read the prompt, I didn't believe it. Jake told me I had nice teeth. That was really nice of him and I think it could be true. I don't know if he meant it super dearly but whatever. One time I was told by Hudson that I was a great speller and that was like the nicest thing I have heard. I also give very good compliments to people like Jake.

Week 27: Monster in the Closet

I was pretty scared of the dark as a child. You never know what the heck is going to pop out of it and then you hear little sounds and it just makes everything uncomfortable. I have gotten a lot better about being in the dark but I still have a little fear of it. I was scared of my siblings because I thought they would beat me up just for fun but I am over that fear because I can take all of them now. But at the age of 18, I still have one big fear that keeps me up at night and that is Jake's face.  It is just so terrifying and I lose sleep at night.

Week 26: Get Geeky!

I feel like I am pretty geeky about sports. I am very passionate about them... well only certain ones. Like volleyball, softball, and I like to watch basketball. I cared so much every time I stepped out there on the volleyball court and I tried my hardest to be the absolute best I could be. I would say that it has really paid off and put me where I wanted to be and achieve the goals I had planned. The same thing goes for softball. I just want to better myself everyday because I have goals I want to achieve and that is the only way to reach them. Then there is watching basketball, I definitely got more into this year when I started doing the book for games. I am hands down the best book person ever. You can even ask Fahs about it, he knows it is true.

Week 25: Talking to Myself

Future Jessica would tell today Jessica that "you are doing just fine." I would definitely trust future me because I trust myself right now so what would be different. I think that me in the future would be pretty trustworthy too. But then Future says that you should probably start to get your crap (bag) together because you will be going to college so you need to prepare yourself. Then she also tells me that you have some pretty cool people in your life and you should continue being friends with them because they are great. You have teachers that care about your education so be nice to them.. except for Fahs, you can be mean to him because he is mean first.

Week 24: I Don't Wanna Grow Up!

When I was a wee little kid, my favorite toy was rocks and I would throw them at my siblings and that is why I have such a good softball arm. I'm just kidding! But something I did play with a lot was little farm toys, like tractors and that fun stuff. I have a lot of brothers and if I wanted to play with them this was my only option. It was crazy how you could plant corn and harvest it and bale hay all within like 5 minutes. Then start all over again and have a farm auction. Man those were the good days. Then we would go outside and play like 4 on 4 kickball and baseball and then ride bikes. We got along like peanut butter and jelly.
A blog about my childhood is kind of hard to somehow mention Fahs but I know I would get so much crap if I didn't. So I guess the best way to do that is talk about my favorite childhood game of all time. Euchre. (Not a typical game for kids to play but it was for our family) I learned to play at like age 5 because all of my older siblings knew. We would sit in the house and have like 2 games going at one time. I learned how to play before Fahs ever did so he can never say that he is more experienced than me because that's not true. I'm the number one player with all of that experience. But he is still #1 euchre partner so he is very, very close second.

Week 23: Take Me Down to Paradise City!

Paradise is literally just country music. I would be perfectly fine with a nice cozy room and some unending country music. I would also want this room to be filled with some snacky type foods. Like maybe some chips, crackers, Dip'n Good Dips, popcorn, beef jerky, sandwiches, pizza, tacos, twizzlers, candy bars, nachos, and of course the best peanut butter blossoms of all... made by my mother. I would probably invite my #1 euchre partner so that we could kick butt for hours upon hours in some crazy euchre games and he could realize how delicious my cookies are. So that means I would have to invite Jake and Rylan so they could lose some more.  Then once they are sick of losing, we could probably stop playing and switch to something else that is pretty great. FRIENDS!!! This paradise would have all ten seasons so we could watch them continuously. Then there is nobody better to talk about this wonderful show with than Fahs. We have pretty much talked about it for like 5 hours (George) straight before. This is a perfect paradise!

P.S. Fahs, I know that George Strait spells his last name like this so you can't make fun of me for that up there. It was a joke!!!

Week 22: You’re So Kind

Well you see, I am a very kind person in general. But there is one specific person that I am incredibly nice to but I never seem to get that in return. It would be the one and only Fahs. I tell him all the time how wonderful of a euchre partner he is. But he never says anything like that in return. Fahs tells me that he carries the team and would be better off without me. Then there is all that country music that we listen to. I have never listened to other music because it has been country from day one. I can sing like every song from 90s country and I was hardly born in the 90s, so that is pretty impressive. But Fahs on the other hand, has listened to other music (because he isn't totally dedicated) and can sing as much 90s country as I can and he lived all the 90s so that actually makes sense that he should know it. I tell him that I am impressed with all the new music he keeps up on because I am full of nice compliments. But what do I get in return? "Garber, you suck at listening to country music, are you even dedicated?" I get those rude words. I take time out of my busy life to be a kind person and do the basketball book for him. I get up in the middle of eating my chili at the chili supper just to be the savior of the night and I hardly even got a thank you from him. I get told that I MIGHT be like #8 on the list of best book people. He doubts my Friends knowledge even though I might know more about it than him. The kindest thing I have ever done was open his gas thing to prevent it from freezing. I do nothing but nice and he is just so mean.
I sat at home this weekend and watched hours and hours of Friends instead of going to a game to do book, where I would be underappreciated.

Week 21: And They Lived Happily Ever After

I don't watch too much TV, but Friends is by far the best show ever. Fahs can definitely side with me on that last statement because cool people watch Friends and quote it all the time and have like hour long conversations about it. It is a group of six friends and everyone has pretty much dated everyone else. Nothing was ever too serious but then a couple of relationships got really serious. One that I was rooting for was Monica and Chandler. When they started dating it was a big secret and none of the other friends knew about it. "They don't we know they know we know." That episode just kills me every time. Then there is Ross and Rachel which is such a joke because who knows if they are together or not because it is so on and off, and he is her lobster, she got off the plane, and blah blah.

Week 20: Family in a Nutshell

Image result for tractor in fieldWell we live on a farm and that is something that we have all
pretty much been involved in for our entire lives. We have all made pretty good memories growing up on a farm and it has been such a great experience for all of us.

Image result for country musicThis exactly describes our family. We have never listened to other music because country is obviously the best and we all know that. I am currently jammin' to 90's country.

Cards have always been a big part of what we did in our spare time. My grandma and grandpa play cards all the time so that is where we get it. I learned to play euchre when I was like 2! Not really but I was super duper young. That is why at the lock in Fahs and I always win because I am so experienced and I carry the team.

Image result for cooking and bakingI don't think anyone will have too much of a problem surviving on their own with the cooking and baking skills we have learned. My mom can just whip anything up from scratch and it is pretty great. All of us have learned from that and somebody is always making something to eat, like cookies. (As I am typing this, Justin is making cupcakes) My mom has always made enough food for like 15 people and now there are only like 5 of us there and she still makes enough food for like 15 people. I will probably struggle making small portions in the future because we have always had huge ones.

Image result for fightingThis is probably the best picture that describes us. We used to fight all the time. So I can take you down because I have experience! We don't exactly fight anymore. We do argue quite a bit but I would say we get along most of the time We can sit down and talk about everything and just joke around and make fun of each other but I love it so much and wouldn't trade my big family for anything.

Week 19: That Cat has the LIFE

If I could choose any animal in the entire world to be in my second life, I would be a kangaroo. They just hop around all the time and I feel like they live a pretty chill life. The way they give birth and have a baby is pretty interesting so I would probably want to try it out sometime because it is cool. Then when they need to go pick up their kids or get some groceries they just toss it in their handy dandy pouch and they are ready to go. I so wish I had a pouch right now for extra storage because life would be so much easier.

Week 18: Happiness Is...

To me happiness is a lot of different things.  One thing is that feeling I get before a sporting event when it is a really important game and I am anxious but excited.  A second thing is hanging out with my best friend Logan Sasso.  Another thing is when someone surprises me with a spontaneous trip to Starved Rock and I have no idea where we are going until we turn off the interstate.  And last but not least for sure is long walks on the beach in Florida with someone special.  All of these things make me very happy.

Week 17: My Life as a Reality TV Show

Most people have been seniors in high school before so I don't think I could show them much that they don't already know. I'm pretty sure my ratings would be really low because my life is far from interesting. I go to school and learn. I don't think people want to watch about that. Then I go home and sit there. I don't think many people would like that because it's lame. I guess I would maybe try to spice it up so my ratings were better. I would probably start fights at school because that would really make people watch.
